Meet the FlipX Series indoor PIR detectors from OPTEX, featuring an innovative pyroelectric element and a rotatable lens.
The Optex FlipX Series features an indoor passive security sensor that offers advanced intrusion detection with its unique pyroelectric element and advanced detection logic that adjusts to human shapes. Incredibly, the sensors function by detecting the infrared radiation emitted by people, enabling the sensors to identify intruders and transmit alerts to alarm systems.
Installers, you will love this feature. You can easily adjust the detection area from 85 degrees wide to 5 degrees by flipping the lens 180 degrees. Suitable for both residential and commercial settings, the series is available in 3 grades; Standard, Professional, and Advanced, depending on the install requirements, so let’s look at what makes each unique.
FlipX Standard
The FlipX Standard models are perfect for protecting residential or small commercial properties. Featuring the pyroelectric element for improved precision and efficiency, the FlipX Standard offers excellent pet tolerance and helps reduce false alarms. These sensors are compact and stylish, effortlessly blending in with their surroundings and they are pleasing to the eye.
Models include the FLX-S-ST, standard PIR model, and FLX-S-DT, dual technology model. Both are EN-Grade 2 certified.
FlipX Professional
The FlipX Professional sensors are Grade 2 sensors created to protect commercial and professional locations. They have the same features as the FlipX Standard models but with an increased detection range that covers larger areas, up to 15m wide and 24m narrow. Additionally, the dual-technology model is equipped with OPTEX's Tough Mod technology for extra durability in hot and humid climates.
Models include the FLX-P-ST, standard PIR model, and FLX-P-DT, dual technology (PIR and microwave) model. Both are EN-Grade 2 certified.
FlipX Advanced
The FlipX Advanced sensors, suitable for Grade 3 security, are specifically developed to safeguard high-risk locations like commercial spaces, data centers, logistics facilities, and banks. These sensors come with enhanced capabilities that can detect any efforts to block or interfere with them and have an extended range to cover expansive areas. The Advanced series also provides additional sensitivity settings for improved performance and accuracy, ensuring precise detection even in scenarios where the temperature differentials between the human body and the surroundings are minimal.
Models include the FLX-A-AM, standard PIR model with anti-masking, and the FLX-A-DAM, dual technology (PIR and and microwave) model with anti-masking.
Flip Range
Rotating the FlipX lens 180 degrees allows for a switch from wide to narrow detection, catering to various applications in residential and light commercial settings. This effortless adjustment in detection range offers a convenient solution for addressing multiple needs efficiently.
