The Paradox IP 180 Internet Communication Module has been approved for Australia. This powerful solution was designed to enhance the functionality and reliability of Paradox security systems. It integrates seamlessly with Paradox’s Magellan, Spectra and EVO series control panels, and its plug-and-play architecture minimises installation time and complexity.
We chatted to Stanley El Komala, our Senior Product Manager who manages the Paradox portfolio. Stanley explained that the IP 180 provides an efficient and secure internet communication link between Paradox control panels and monitoring centres or end-users. The IP 180 connects to the system remotely via the BlueEye application and PC software, enabling remote system upgrades. It supports Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections or both simultaneously for failover, ensuring continuous and reliable communication. "The IP 180 is not just fast and reliable; but it also uses MQTT technology with 128-bit encryption," said Stanley.
“The module is ideal for both small-scale and large-scale security setups and its compatibility with each of the Paradox control panels ensures it can adapt to the constant variability in security needs. We know that timely information is critical in the security world, which is why this module is great, it keeps users in the loop every second of the way, offering real-time notifications, sending instant alerts via push notifications or email. Users can stay informed about security breaches, alarms, or system status updates in real time”, explains Chris Ireland one of our Technical Sales Engineers specialising in the Intrusion & Access Control product ranges here at BGW Technologies. “Plus the module provides detailed logging of system events, allowing users and monitoring centres to analyse activity and ensure system integrity over time. Knowledge is power, and the event logging feature puts that power in the user’s hands," Chris says.
“Installing the IP 180 is all about giving users peace of mind in an ever-evolving digital landscape”, said Stanley, “The IP 180 employs industry-standard encryption protocols to ensure that all data transmissions are secure. This feature is critical for safeguarding sensitive information against cyber threats”.
